Without further ado, Senator Hagel, the podium is yours. Senate, where he was a senior member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the Intelligence Committee and the Banking Committee. Hagel is also the co-chairman of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board, a member of the secretary of defense’s policy board, and a member of the Department of Energy’s blue-ribbon commission on America’s nuclear future. And the group is currently hard at work on our own STRATCON 2010 project, which will help inform the good work of Secretary Albright in the development of the strategic concept, and also Sec. NATO experts and former senior officials. The strategic advisor’s group consists of recognized European and U.S. Hagel, aside from being my boss, is also the co-chair of the Atlantic Council’s strategic advisor’s group.
